Should I put Dr Scholls in my golf shoes?

golf instruction

I am trying to extend the life of my Footjoys. I am thinking of putting some Dr Scholls gel insoles in my golf shoe.
Is this a good Idea?
Do I put thr Dr Scholl over the old insole, or remove the old insole and place the new gel in its place?

I dont want to buy new golf shoes this year, I want to get another year walking out of this pair!

I really don’t think putting gel insoles will help preserve your shoes. Might make you feet feel better though.

You should take the old insole out IF your shoe feels too tight with both in. If there is an arch support on the gel one, you may over stress your feet by elevating the arch too much.

Sure, why not? You may need new spikes, anyway.
