I am pretty certain that my son put a golf ball down my toliet. It flushes, but not well. What can I do?
I already found one in the toliet....I have 2 toliets that are acting this way...I am certain golf balls are the culprit. Anything I can do at home?
The ball is not visible...assuming he flushed it after dropping it in.

you will have to lift toilet off base and check it out. if you don't know how to do this then call a plumber. However it can be done by you if you are handy. Shut off water empty tank and bowl, unscrew base and lift it off. To replace you scrape all the wax seal off and apply a new one and reset.
UM YOU CAN CALL A PLUMBER OR TRY THOSE HOSING THINGYS AND PLUNGE IT OUT
If you cannot see the ball, it has gone beyond the trap ( flushed ) and cannot be retrieved without damage to the plumbing.
Most sewer pipes in homes are at least four inches in diameter so that a golf ball can flow with the water to the main sewer lines provided there are no other obstructions like hardened sludge or tree roots or breakages in the line.
The problem may not be the ball by itself. Consider "rod-ding" out (cleaning) the lines to remove any debris.
try snaking it…its a long coil that you run down the toilet ands eventually frees the clog
Becky, replace the toilet is essence, just turn it over and get it out!
The best b4 that is a hanger to c if you can catch it. Golf balls do not float, so you have to see it to get it.
Golf balls are plastic, non-bio-degrade able, so it'll be there forever unless you 'get er done'
go for the gusto
There is no way that a golfball will cause that all by itself. They just had a demo at Home Depot here where they flushed 25 golfballs all at once. I think you have a bigger problem happening that the ball just added to…at the least. You may need to remove the toilet in question and rod out the line. All you need is a snake and a new wax seal and away you go. Turn off the water to the toilet. Flush the toilet and hold the handle down till most of the water in the tank drains. If you have a wet/dry shopvac suck out the remaining water in the tank and also suck out all the water in the bowl. Undo the 2 bolts, one on each side of the bowl, at the floor. If you grab the complete toilet right at the seat bolts area it should balance itselft not too bad. Lift the toilet and place it to the side so it's not in the way. Now snake the line to make sure it's not plugged. If the toilet is empty, give it a good shaking and listen to see if the ball is in there. Now you can put on the new wax seal, set the toilet onto the bolts and bolt it back on.
Good luck!!!!
