Answer by boyfaceddog There are two pretty good ways to putt in the cold months. The time-tested cup-on-the-floor method, and indoor mini-golf. Both offer about the same experience, but the cup method, along with a deep pile rug, allows you to add difficulty to your putting.
Hitting a tee shot well depends on the degree of loft on the club, controlling your energy, and the position of the ball in your stance. Question by Tom: I think its a total joke to refer to someone who plays golf an “athlete”. What do you think?
i put golf in same category as bowling. wow you must really be in perfect athletic shape to play that.
Best answer:
Answer by phoozball your definition of an athlete and mine are totally different. When it is professional, then yes, I call them athletes. If it is someone who dedicates themself to the sport, then yes, I will call them an athlete. Any out of shape nobody can go and play golf or bowl, not every out of shape nobody can perform time after time after time. This is where the term athlete comes in. The professionals stick to a regiment in diet and exercise and perfect their trade. That makes them athletes. Michael Phelps-olympic swimmer-is an athlete–even though he eats like crap, it is burned away in what he does. Not everyone is considered an athlete.

Question by : Can I use one hand when putting on the green?
I went to the driving range recently and started something that I have never done before, putting with one hand and it felt so good. My line was so right that all the balls went straight for the cup. All I want to know is, is it legal or accaptable in terms of golf rules to put one handed.

Using a pitching wedge is different than some of the other clubs in your bag and requires a less full swing and more control.
